Dunbar Civic Week 2025 will commence on Saturday 14th June with a parade from the Swimming Pool to Bleachingfield Park commencing at 1130, followed by the crowning ceremony and a Fun Day full of activities for young people.

The children of the town have always been at the centre of Civic Week. The Royal Court consists of the Civic Week Queen, her consort and courtier, two attendants, flower girls and pages. These are all selected by random draw, from children resident in Dunbar of the P2 and P7 age groups.

The 2025 Royal court are pictured here with names:

Back row left to right (all from P7): Attendants – Jessica Mitchell, Carla Rollo-Gunn, Queen- Rebecca Mitchell, Courtier – Liam Dai, Consort – Lucas McKee.

There will be a packed program of events throughout the week, ending with a thanksgiving service at St Anne’s Church on Sunday 22nd June.

Civic Week is run entirely by volunteers. Rena Keller chairs the Civic Week planning committee on behalf of Dunbar Community Council. She says: “We are keen for Civic Week to be a celebration of our wonderful community. Dunbar is a growing town, and this is a great opportunity to welcome our newcomers to the fantastic things going on locally.”

Full details of Civic Week events will be posted on our website www.dunbarcivicweek.org.uk and on social media.
A printed program will be delivered to every household in Dunbar two weeks before.
