Join the team – help make it happen

PREPARATIONS are being drawn up for the annual celebration known as Dunbar Civic Week, which dates back to 1970 and reflects the richness of the community, its history, culture and people.

We need lots of people giving a little time to help make Civic Week happen. It’s a lovely way to give something back to the community we all enjoy living in.

We will be back with a bang on Saturday 14th June 2025 with a week long program of events

Please help make it happen. Parade Marshalls are required 1130-1230 (time TBC) – put on one of our Hi-Viz vests and walk alongside the parade just keeping an eye that everyone is safe and having fun

Fun Day Marshalls 11:30-4pm (time TBC). We need helpers to ensure everything runs smoothly and stays safe.

To volunteer, please contact us on our socials or by email

The summer event was established to mark the 600th anniversary of the granting by King David II, King of Scots, of the Royal Charter creating the Burgh of Dunbar.

The week-long celebration will start with a Fun Day and Parade before a packed programme of events that culminates a week later on June 22.
