#LitterCUBEs LittoralArt project, Julia Barton, Dunbar Harbour, daytime, free
Join Julia Barton, award winning environmental artist, as she makes two large #LitterCUBE sculptures from plastic marine litter collected from local beaches and around the harbour. The sculptures will highlight the volume of the most common types of litter we find here. Audiences will help weigh the sculptures and calculate the amount of energy each #LitterCUBE represents in terms of litres of petrol. The Dunbar #LitterCUBEs will form part of a national #LitterCUBE collection to be exhibited at the 2020 Edinburgh International Science Festival. Julia will also be working with local schools during Civic Week.
Help promote clean seas and beaches by collecting plastic drinks bottles, net ends, cotton bud sticks and strapping. Collection point at Dunbar Harbour. Want to get involved?: volunteer to help to collect litter items or help run the events at the harbour on 20, 21,22 June please contact Julia at: littoralartproject@btinterent.com
